Urban Meadow Community Garden is an 8,000 square foot volunteer-run green space located in Brooklyn’s Columbia St. Waterfront District.
A vacant lot transformed into a meadow garden in 2003. Today Urban Meadow is cared for by neighborhood volunteers who grow vegetables, maintain native plants, and create a welcoming space for the community.
The garden includes:
- Individual growing plots
- Native plant meadow areas
- Composting systems
- Shared tools and work areas
- Open community space
Urban Meadow is open to neighbors, visitors, and volunteers.
